Zone Membership Director Report (by Bob Peterson): "We had a meeting already that included the membership chairperson from each club and tossed around some pretty good ideas. We looked at different examples of brochures and talked about what we needed for our clubs. Everyone agreed that it was a productive meeting and we will be meeting again in September, just before the Zone Advisory Meeting where we will report on our ideas. The membership chairpersons are Jim Forgey, Edmonds; Tom Karchesy, Lake City; Bob Peterson, Terrace Brier; Herb Cartmel, Woodinville; and Nick Baker, Mill Creek. If this sounds like something you want to do, get a hold of your membership chair - they will appreciate your support."

Zone Membership Director Bob Peterson: We will have another meeting with all the club membership chairs before the October zone meeting. I will have a better report on membership activites at the October meeting.

Insider Gossip:Joe Miller is the District Membership Chairperson. Zone Chair Tom Karchesy has left a message on his phone that Bob Peterson and Tom Karchesy want to get together with him and talk membership. Make sure we are all on the same page. We hope to set up a meeting and we will report back to you the results.

Zone Membership Director Bob Peterson:We had another membership meeting at Voola's. It was pretty good. I brought a borchure my wife got off the LCI website and added a few things to make it custom for Terrace Brier. Everyone liked it a lot and they plan to do something the same.

Lake City Club will be haveing an open house in February. They are preparing for it now. It will be much like the one they did a few years ago. Everyone will invite friends and aquatances. They will have several of the members speaking and finish it off with pie.

We talked about doing a zone fundraiser. Maybe where we raffle off a car. The intent would be to draw more interest and awareness to the clubs.

We discussed the possibility of more Leo clubs and of starting a club in Bothell.

Announcement from Zone Membership Director Bob Peterson:We will have another membership meeting 6:30 PM on Wednesday November 9, 2011. This meeting is open to everyone one in the zone. We will be meeting at Voula's Good Eats, 4306 228th St, Mountlake Terrace, (425) 967-5154. This will be the last meeting for the calendar year. We will review our plans. We have invited Rob Schumer to talk about putting together a new member orientation sometime soon. All of the club's membership committee chairs will be there.
